            • SAFER trimming pruning

            Comments about Expand-it Pruner Attachment:

DESPITE many problems FITTING both genuine Ryobi and Craftsman branded trimmers (drive couplings dont reach deep enough to couple properly) the unit works very well to back-up a regular chainsaw considering its balance is designed to point it upward into overhead branches &c. Ample power with sharp chain, BIGGEST PROBLEM IS FIGHTING TEMPTATION TO OVERWORK and try to cut stuff too large for its intended purpose. MUCH SAFER than using a ladder, proper cutting technique will drop a branch slowly, safely without hard impact or danger on ground (cut up from bottom first, offset second cut down from top leaving a hinge to control fall of branch)
10" is a heck of a large branch to call it "PRUNING"- words are not expressing the level of performance well enough; "GREAT" is understatement. I have a friend permanently crippled from simple mishap with a ladder and chainsaw- this tool would have saved his quality of life! If you THINK you might find one useful you HAVE TO HAVE ONE, but remember the safety guidelines that come with the accessory. REMEMBER POTENTIAL DANGERS, proper clothing and protection, etc, etc. IT DOES NOT MIX WITH LADDERS; remember to allow for safe footing after the branch comes down, etc. Its safer to keep the moving hazard of a chain away from you by several feet as this does, compared to a chainsaw, but tis LESS SAFE for others working with you due to control issues due to balance, etc at the end of several feet of pole and the weight of the accessory.

Works great. Been clearing off and old car dirt race track.great for clearing brush and low hanging branches. You don't have to force the cut it cut good by itself. Holes in the chain guard allow for self cleaning of wood chips. I just ordered another one because I don't think my brother is going to give mine back.
