Purchased to use for some fall garden clean up and it is perfect. Like the quick change of blades. Powerful enough to handle some good size branches. Very pleased with unit.
Right after it arrived I used it to take down a basketball backstop and metal supporting pole. Cutting through the metal pipe was alot easier and faster than sawing by hand.
I use a reciprocating saw at work for numerous different things. So I decided I could use one at home for a few projects I have going on. I found this one on cpo and it's a ryobi. I already have a ryobi drill set and it's never let me down. So I figured I would give this one a try because the price was right and I'm familiar with the quality of the brand. The saw shipped fast and arrived 2 days later even though I chose ground shipping. I used the saw the very next day to cut down about 30 small trees cluttering up my yard and the saw worked perfectly. I would deffinately reccomend this saw to anyone who is looking for a good quality saw for a decent price.
This is a great deal and price for a Reciprocating Saw for DIY Home Owner/Self Yard Maintenance.
Needed a reciprocating saw to maintain 6 mature Crepe Myrtle's, along with a bunch of other hedges, and bushes (and perhaps some minor wood crate demo, etc.), BUT, I didn't want to spend too much money to justify with the wife. This reconditioned Ryobi fit the bill.
Very fast shipment. Saw came with a used case, and two brand new saw blades (1 metal; 1 wood albeit discount quality). I bought some "pruning" quality blades locally and immediately chopped down a crepe myrtle with about 20 branches. This saw was perfect for the job - this was so much easier and faster than my old trusty Black and Decker Navigator Saw (which I used to think was very good for this type of job). Should have bought this RECOND Ryobi years ago. Strongly recommended.
I'm building a fence some of which goes through a wooded area. While cutting the top of a 4X4 10 foot post, I dropped the saw. I thought maybe it was ruined as it hit a raised oak tree root, but I was wrong. I was glad I was not using my Dewalt cordless saw at the time.
